We understand that your tapes and reels contain irreplaceable memories. We treat every piece of media as if it were our own. From the moment your package arrives, your media is logged, stored securely, and handled with care throughout the entire digitization process.

We recommend shipping with a carrier that offers tracking and insurance for added peace of mind. On our end, we carefully log and track every item from arrival to return shipment.

No. Once your digital files have been delivered and you've confirmed receipt, we delete all copies from our systems. Your memories are yours — we have no interest in keeping them. We may retain files for a short period after delivery to assist with any issues, but they are permanently deleted afterward.

Absolutely. Your original media is always returned to you. We ship it back along with any USB drives, using a tracked shipping method at no additional cost.

Process & Timeline

Standard turnaround is [turnaround time] from the day we receive your media. Rush and priority options are available if you need your files sooner. You'll receive email updates at each stage of the process so you always know where things stand.

After you place your order, you'll receive a confirmation email with our shipping address and instructions for packing your media. Once we receive your package, we'll confirm arrival and begin the digitization process. When your files are ready, we'll notify you with delivery details.

Use a sturdy cardboard box and wrap each tape individually in bubble wrap or newspaper. Fill any empty space with packing material to prevent movement. Ship with a carrier that provides tracking. For detailed tips, visit our How It Works page.

Formats & Quality

We accept VHS, VHS-C, Betamax, 8mm/Video8, Hi8, and MiniDV tapes. If you have a format not listed, contact us and we'll let you know if we can help.

All videos are converted to MP4 (H.264) — the most widely compatible digital video format. You can play these files on virtually any computer, phone, tablet, or smart TV without needing special software.

We capture the best possible quality from your original media. While we can't add detail that isn't on the original tape, our professional equipment ensures the clearest, most accurate transfer possible. The digital files will be at least as good as the original — and they'll never degrade further.

We'll do our best to transfer any tape we receive. If a tape has issues (mold, physical damage, etc.) that prevent a full transfer, we'll contact you to discuss options. You won't be charged for any tape we're unable to convert.

Pricing & Payment

Pricing varies by format. Visit our Services & Pricing page for a complete breakdown. You'll pay a $25 deposit to start, and we'll calculate the final total after receiving your tapes.

Payment is collected when you place your order. We use Stripe for secure payment processing, so your financial information is always protected.

We're happy to discuss pricing for larger collections. Contact us with details about your order and we'll provide a custom quote.

If we're unable to digitize a tape for any reason, you will not be charged for that tape. If you're unsatisfied with the quality of a transfer, please contact us and we'll work with you to resolve the issue.
